Many clubs and organizations around campus gathered together for CREATIVATE, hosted by the Baker Institute on Wednesday, Oct. 25th from 5:30-8:00 p.m. in E.W. Fairchild-Martindale Library. This unique event brought together an array of student projects, campus organizations, and alumni in what Baker Institute called, “A celebration of student creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship at Lehigh University.”
Different groups set up tables featuring their projects and were able to interact with members of the Lehigh community, including having the opportunity to network with alumni. A mashed potato bar was provided for people to snack on while they learned about the different projects.
Among the attendees was Fusion, Lehigh’s Student Run Design Agency. We were excited to have a table at the event bringing together students from all different creative backgrounds together. Our table featured our United Nations “Green Fair Project” as well as information about Fusion for both students and faculty. Throughout the night, different members of our team spoke with Lehigh alum, students and faculty about our current projects while getting in the Halloween spirit by handing out candy from our Fusion Pumpkin.
Dorothy Baker, husband of Dexter Baker, founder of the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity & Innovation, stopped by the Fusion table at CREATIVATE to learn more about the organization and talk to some of our members.
We have recently been invited to showcase some of Fusion’s student work during Parent’s Weekend at the Parents’ Council reception at Wilbur Powerhouse Nov. 10th from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Fusion has been wrapping up our current projects for the semester and is looking forward to welcoming new team members for the Spring 2018 semester!
